The harden urushi coating protects the coated objects from the effects of mold, mildew and other forms of weathering. It also waterproofs and provides protection against caustic substances, such as acids, alcohol, and sodium. And it isolates from electricity and cannot be washed away by soy source or vinegar. |

The temperature of (20c ~30c) and humidity of 70% is needed for the urushi to dry. A humid environment is perfect for urushi. It solidifies by chemical reaction so the size of the surface does not affect the period of time needed for drying. |

| 8. | The brushes for painting are made from girl's hair. When the brush top gets worn out, it can be shaped again like a pencil so it can be used for many years. |
