Woven string
More than few dozens of thread are woven alternately on top of each other.
It is a stretch string being used as a part of Japanese traditional wear
such as kimono as well as in tools for tea ceremony.

This candle holder was displayed in the exhibition at the show in Milan, Italy.
The glass part has a hole at the bottom in order to place candles inside.
Weaving had to be made with the hole at the bottom as well.
It creates beautiful light and shadow through the weaving.
Beautiful light leaking through the weaving.
Weaving is very even and beautiful.
