The project started with a simple question; "can we make
a mirror with sliver leaf?"  We started our consideration
as well as research, and eventually found out that
in medieval times in Italy, there was a technique of
temepera paintings using silver leaf. We were inspired
by the fact; enough information to work on this project.

The actual mirror is used as base surface to keep
the right amount of reflection of the mirrored silver leaves.
The joint lines of sliver leaves created by craftsman
are adding natural & warm texture.

The thin sliver leaf combined with clear acrylic gives interesting
transparent appearance. The matte finish of silver leaf gives

Delivery: 40 days (under fixed schedule)

There are some possibilities that the color of gold leaf may
vary across the ages, because of its pure gold component.
They are installed near the water from the natural hot spring
which corrodes the material easily.
The construction with the acrylic board is chosen to protect
the surface and its gold surface appears beautifully with no mark
of attachment glue. The project is successfully put together
considering the nature of gold.
